I weighed my 96 F350 long bed diesel crew cab shortly after getting it.
7700 lbs total with 200 lb me and two kids weighing at the time maybe 200, so 7300 lbs. Ford showed it at 6400 on the shipping docs IIRC.
I now have a metal utility top on and carry a bunch of tools, a winch out front etc, best guess now is almost at 10,000 empty with the now 250 lb me in it. This is based on scale weights at a quarry I pick up rock at with a trailer that supposedly weighs 3500, I scale in at around 13,500 and leave at 23,500.
I'm glad to hear of the OP using a stronger trailer, never hurts to be safe IMO.:thumbsup:
