I happen to have a bunch of sets of the Safeway FF49 series (FF49X-3 to be exact).

Are these suitable for using as QD's for a top n tilt?

There is a direction arrow on the male fitting (used with a double acting cylinder, the flow is in both directions.....

All the QD;s I know about will flow in both directions.

They might only work together, and not match up to other QD's.

They appear to be over kill, but if the cost is 0, that is a good thing.

How many sets is in a bunch?

I have used them for another application running in both directions, but just wanted to check with you and the other hydraulic experts.

I have close to ten sets, so i'll run out of cylinders to hook up to before I run out of quick connects : )

As mentioned in the link you provided, these are the standard type QC on hydraulic chainsaws & impact wrenches, usually in 3/8" size. Most of the saws flow 8GPM, but some go as high as 10GPM (underwater saws & cast-iron pipe saws, etc.)

The ISO spec should allow interchange with other mfg's, if the ISO number matches between mfg'ers.

Being that you have 10 sets, I doubt if you care about that?

Short answer...yes.

These are 3/8" body size ISO 16028, otherwise known as HTMA couplers. While they don't flow as much as a 1/2" body size (what you normally see on skid-steers), they will work fine for what you're doing.

project_X,

Those QD's will do what you want.

Those QD's will flow 10 GPM, and will handle any T-N-T/tilt system

On your T-N-T valve, install a male QD on the A work port and a female QD on the B work port, and match up the T-T-T cyl with the other QD's. This is so you will know the flow will always be correct with your lever movement.

Thanks for everyone's help.
I need to do some plumbing, by this time next week my remote valve and quick connects should be finished.

The only time I think you'd run into a problem is if you borrow or rent a piece of equipment that has Pioneer fittings or something similar. It's not a big problem and is one you could easily deal with if it ever comes up. Actually, I've often thought that my TnT QCs are a waste since I almost never disconnect them. My PHD doesn't need the toplink, but I could just disconnect it and hang it out of the way if it were hard plumbed.
