I lost a new bundle of 1/2" pvc pipe on the way home from the hardware store. My new truch has a shorter bed than before and I did not secure them down. I noticed them missing less than a mile away but they were gon quickly.

Had a good find yesterday on the way home from work. I spotted a yellow poly fuel can along side the road. Pulled over and walked back to see if it was any good. Looked in good shape and even had the spout attached. Too bad it was empty but then it might not of slid out of someones truck if full.

Pizza isn稚 that bad if you don稚 #1) Eat the whole thing and #2) Eat it too often.

Cheese is in the Milk group, Veggies on top and the sauce are in the you guessed it the Veggie group and then there is the Bread group; all good stuff taken for they are.

Good Luck with the Pizza...

I always back my tractor into the barn, drop the mower then pull out, turn around and park the tratcor so the loader is over the mower... always. This is the most efficient use of the space I have.
One day I decided to back the tractor in with loader facing the door, about 5'-61/2" above the slab.....I can't remeber why, no doubt trying to save time......
Late that night, in a hurry, after a few beers, a little pissed off..... I entered the garage... through the big door, which was closed until I slung it open......and walked in, yea, right into the loader blade, with my face.
Ever jump into swimming pool and get water up your nose? Well imagine that feeling while somebody hits you in the face with an ax, right between the eyes.
I went down, and I was out.... cold:confused2:...I woke up with blood everywhere, pooling up in my eyes, had to feel my way back to the house. The blade edge hit me right between the eyes, just below the brows.
I wish I had video of my spouse when she saw my face as i entered the house. She sucked all the air out of the room, almost broke the windows:ashamed:, it looked bad but not as bad as it did the next day.
I will not do that again:eek:
Thank god for those butterfly bandages.

I have been lucky with roadside finds, I live near a repair shop that is known for gouging customers, they routinely test rocket past my home and I have found several sockets, a 10mm wrench, a couple extensions and several lugnuts...which might explain the Buick I saw with no wheel on it parked by the side of the road the other day.

I think I missed this thread back in Feb. Day before yesterday I bought a few grocery items at Walmart and the checker put them into two bags. I had already walked out of the store when I realized something didn't look right. I had bought a few bananas, but I had bananas in both bags. A closer look revealed some bell peppers I had not bought, too. Obviously someone had gone off and left a bag with some produce in it and the checker had just put a couple of my items into the same bag. I went back in and gave back the items that weren't mine. I suppose it's possible, but unlikely, that the owner would return for them.

Thanks Bird, that goes on a lot, I delicately try to look in all of that rotating station for bagging... My wife left my pain pills one time, when I needed them the worst, they came back the next day..I was really surprised..

My Mom would, and she'd blame the cashier for 'hiding' her bag too

I guess I've had a little luck that way myself. Several years ago, down in Navarro County, I found the table in the attached photo. The legs were folded up, and it was laying in the grass & weeds alongside the road right at a 90 degree bend in the road. It was a one lane dirt road at that location; only 2 houses in the area past mine, and those people usually came and went from the other end of the road. I would have guessed it fell off a vehicle that made the turn there. It was in "like new" condition and if it fell, it sure didn't hurt it, but no one in the area would claim it, so I let everyone know I had it and no owner ever showed up.

Of course, I've lost a few things, too. In fact, I made a 2 x 10 tailgate for the 16' trailer, cut out two holes for handles, painted it, etc. It just slipped down into metal channels on each side of the trailer. One day I pulled it to Waco, about 50 miles, and started home with the empty trailer with that tailgate in place, got about halfway home and noticed in the rear view mirror that my tailgate was missing. I figured it probably bounced out of it's brackets when I crossed a railroad track about 5 miles back and there was little to no traffic, so I turned around and went back; back all the way to Waco, in fact, and it was not to be seen in or along the road. Someone had to have stopped and picked it up, and of course I couldn't blame them if they did, especially if it landed in the road.

Back before ratchet straps were available. I bought some OSB and also some 2x8x16 s
Tied them all in the truck with rope as I usually did.
I turned onto the on ramp and looked back and saw the 2 bys slipping out one by one..there was allot of walking that day ...The other time the OSB slipped out. (its slippery stuff).
embarrassed to admit back in a day I had paneling ont he roof. and tied it across the middle.
drove down the road and yep wind took it and broke it in half.. Luckily I was going to be cutting them down anyways.
Just last week a guy in a truck ahead of me had a huge stack of OSB untied and it was a short bed so the gate was down
I told my wife . watch this, as the light charged he gunned it. and laid about 20 sheets right out.I had to get out and help him load them back and offered a strap but he said he would be fine and just accelerate hard. He turned onto the interstate ..hmmmm

I remember back in the 90's my old friend HW Frederick had alot of trucks and euipment from there old construction company. They did a job or two and logged. His sone rolled in th eMidway truck stop a tiny spot on the side of 25 hwy. His sone filled the Rmodel Mack up with fuel and pulled up. HW pulled up to the diesel pump and filled his old late 60's tandem dump up to the pump. Then realaized he put half a tank of deisel in a 427 powered truck.

He told me to get a cardboard box I did and he cut it open into sheets and blocked the radiator to heat the motor up. It was already early summer and the truck was loaded. He rani in low gear till he got home a mile away. You couldnt see anything for a half mile behind the truck.

I have a problem at work alot of times someone will fuel a scraper and and forget to put hte cap on. I like messing with them over it.

Got out of a roll off with a 50 yard can on the back and did nt pull one of the 2 sticks out of gear, Well I thought I did. just side stepped hte clutch and the truck jumped forward and tore the barn down lol.
