Texas Heat!

We have a different type of bag worm here its more like a small cocoon than a web probably lots of types in different areas.

Another sure sign of weather change.
We have had groups of 20-50 sub-adult Purple Martins stopping by every morning for the past week on there way south. Some of these may be in Texas soon.

Back to protective Cumulus clouds.
During the high 90's weather not a cloud in the sky unless an evening black storm cloud, many of which didn't produce a drop of rain here.
Time to take advantage of this great day and get some more "jinman seat cover" time. I bush hogged in the tree lines yesterday for a couple hours and it felt great..... even though more poison ivy and bug bites to deal with last night.

Yep! That's what I'd call a bagworm. What Ron showed is what we call webworms and they are particularly fond of pecan trees.

It's 85 degrees here with gusty north winds. The radar looks like the photo below and I'm right under the Hwy 287 shield. I think we may get wet. WOOHOO!:thumbsup:

I'm not optimistic about getting wet, but I did just finish mowing the yard and it's in dire need of a drink.

dang it.....its still 105 here!!!! and they say the high is right above us and will
be for awhile
next 10 day forecast...103-105,no rain insight
