What size are the rears? Are they 18.4R30s? If so, you should be good at 15psi. If you are hauling hay bales on the back, you might want keep it at 18.

I have 16.9R30s on mine and I put 17.5 with the HX15 cutter on the back as it is very heavy. I will drop it back down to 15 for all the other things I use it for.

Really nice tractor what you need next is a new square baler! :D Try to aim for 2 and a half to 3 tire notches on the floor. My 5085M's rear tires are pretty much 15 PSI with the big 18.4R30's. I wish i OPT'd for 13.6R24's than 12.4R24 Fronts.

I've been recommending the 5000 series with the bigger front tires to anyone who will listen.
I have also blown a tire off the bead picking up a bucket of wet clay. My lesson, keep fronts aired to 25-30 minimum for heavy FEL use. Cost me $75 to have tire guys come put it back on.

Hmm... now you tell me! :D

I have listened to quite a bit of informative "advice" from folk's here on TBN. Most often it has been very helpful and in some cases - has saved me time, money and aggravation!

Be careful. I'm a newbie here and this place has already got my wallet and wife nervous. I'm already shopping for a root grapple and 3rd function kit, hydraulic top link, and a 10ft tow style bushhog like the Taylor Pittsburgh model to replace my worn out Lilliston RotoSpeed 7.5ft cutter, etc.

This summer has also made me seriously consider begging and borrowing my way into a nice 70-85 horse cabbed tractor with air conditioning.

If you guys don't hear from me regularly, please come break me out of the doghouse in the back yard!

YeeeHaaaa!!! Just finished raking the last of my hay tonight - in AC comfort with the radio playing - YES!

Dang! You've got quite a "list" going there.... no wonder your wife is looking at those GIANT airline kennels at WalMart! (I've heard they're not too bad with a foam pad and a nice comforter! :D)

I'll have to look those up and send her a link. I'm afraid she's serious, and I know it takes her awhile to cool down. I may proceed adding A/C to the dog house too just to ensure my survival. Its still triple digits down here!

You just need to get the wife looking at things from your perspective.
Let me tell you a little story about how I came about getting my hydraulic post driver.

It was in August, hot, humid and extremely miserable out. I borrowed a 3 point hitch post digger from my uncle and had dug about fifty post holes. I had the wife and kids helping me tamp the dirt around the post. Needless to say the tempers were flying and no one wanted to be out there in that heat. My wife looked me straight in the eye and said "There has to be a better way of doing this"! I said, "Yes there is dear, they make a hydraulic post driver that just pounds the post in the ground and you don't have to tamp any dirt". She said, "Go buy one"!

When I got ready to order my new tractor I just made sure to call upon the wife to help me hook up equipment to the 3pt hitch. When she found out that they had a switch on the fender to raise the 3pt hitch from the ground on the new tractors she told me to make sure I ordered one of those fender switches so that she wouldn't have to help me hook up equipment. That is how I came about buying an "M" series rather than the "E Limited" which didn't offer the fender switch (well one of the reasons, lol).

There ya, go! It's a whole lot easier hooking up and unhooking implements to the 5000 than my JD 110!

The fender switch and the extendable draft links make all the difference!
