I got stuck today and it made me think of this thread, so I took a pic, lol.

I was bush hogging near the pond and got into a wet spot. Didn't take long until I was up to the axle. Quick pull from my F-250 and I was back working.

Love your picture! So when the rest of us are talking about 4wd and using the FEL to get out, you're just thinking, "buncha wussies!"

You have dirt! OMG. I have never seen such beautiful dirt! I was out mowing this afternoon, and thinking to myself, "I am not mowing the grass, I am just mowing the rocks" I called the wife in just now from the kitchen to see your photo of that beautiful black dirt. All we have is a little skiff of dirt on top of limestone shelf rock down here in Branson, Mo. (by the way you look like your stuck pretty good)

And I can relate to that. When I lived just north of Springfield, Mo, we had a good crop of flint under a few inches of dirt. Made it fun when dad wanted some holes dug before he got home and you had to spend 3/4 of your time breaking through a flint layer.

haha, nope I've had all manners of equipment stuck, so I can relate. This and the JD 2550 we use on the farm are the only 2wd tractors we have, which also are the two that get stuck most  All the others are 4wd with loaders, so they don't get stuck as often (when they do it's generally bad enough I'm not in the mood for pictures, lol.

Actually, my little B3200 goes right through that spot without even breaking through the sod. It's off on a job site right now so I was just getting some work done with the old NAA.

I think it would be a safe bet that 4WD tractors get stuck less than 2WD, but 4WD cars and trucks, get stuck more than their 2WD equivalents. No road vehicle I ever had got stuck as many times as my Jeep.

Ha ha. We go places with 4wd that we'd never go with 2wd. Hence, more often stuck! LOL

I love showing these pics off too.

Whoa, blow all main ballasts!

Time for EFS (Emergency Flotation System) to go with that ROPS.

And where did you find that set of racing slicks?

Box blading the slope on the edge of the pond. Got a wee bit to close and she slipped back and sha-zaam! I had to unhook the BB and get my pal with a skid-steer to pull me out. She wasn't going anywhere. The tires (R4's) slicked up like short game said but even R1's would not have made a difference. I was sunk. Ha ha ha

Did it twice in 1 summer, the other time was worse. No pics though.
