I hooked up my hay mower today to my 6500 only to find my rear remotes and lift not working right. Lift will not pick up the mower and remote valves not working right either. Loader seems to work fine, but nothing in the rear of the tractor works right. Talked to two dealers already and no answers yet. Anyone out there have any ideas???? Trying to get in the field to cut hay!! Thanks!

Thanks grunt, but no visible sign of anything. Whatever has happened, it happened while the tractor was sitting under the shed over the last 7 days because it was working like a charm the last time I used it 7 days ago.

Under the seat on my N H, Theres a knob that controlls the speed of the lift an drop of the 3 point hitch. If its closed the lift wont go down. Its something your overlooking.Other wise the the frunt would be not working.

Shut the tractor off and check the popit valves in the male and female halves of the quick couplers. Make sure they can all be pushed in. Second, on the 3 PH drop rate adjustment valve, remove the stopper that won't let you close it all of the way, close the valve, start the tractor and then pull your position control to the up position. You will hear a squealing sound, put it to the down position and repeat this 2 to 3 times. Shut the tractor off open the valve and put the stopper back. Hopefully one of these things will solve your problem.

Lawalls, thanks for the reply. I did loosen the bolt your talking about and cycle the draft control and lift. Unfortunately, that didn't fix it, either. Guy at the dealership told me to try that. Looks like I will be making the 180 mile round trip to the dealership to take it in. Sure does boggle my mind, though, how something like that happens while it is just siting under the shed! Got to be some little stupid thing causing this. If the pump was bad it looks like the loader would not work and it will pick up the front of the tractor! Maybe it's just a valve stuck somewhere and it won't be major money repair. Like I said, when you pick up on the lift it try's to come up but it's like it hits a stop or the mower is too heavy, which I know it's not. Sure wish somebody knew the answer before I make this trip.

Check that the remote levers are all centered. If one is delivering fluid to a closed connector it will freeze the system. I have done this by putting a large box wrench on the control. It slid down and opened the valve. Took a few minutes to find the problem.

Are your rear remotes attached to anything while you are trying to lift the 3PH?

Yes and no. I have tried it both ways. When you raise the lift control all the way up, you can hear fluid flowing through the system under the seat. I am beginning to think a pressure relief valve may be stuck open or something. The lift will raise up with no load on it but with something hooked up its a no go. I took it in to the shop this morning to let them look at it. Hopefully its not the pump because the loader works fine. Funny thing is, in talking with the owner of the dealership yesterday and trying to figure out solutions to my problem, he said that they very rarely have a mahindra come in with lift problems! Ole Murphy is alive and well, here! Had to laugh to keep from cryin!:(
