Fluid Leak from Vent Plug

I finished bush hogging a 3 acre field and loaded my L4740 HST on the trailer when I noticed fluid dripping from under the tractor directly under the dash board. I looked under the tractor and noticed the dripping was from a vent fitting pointing straight down. It was a VERY hot day so I'm sure the tractor was hot but not overheating. Is this normal? What fluid was leaking from this vent fitting? Thanks for the help.

I wasn't in water. Field was bone dry. Where could this fluid possibly have come from? Unless it had been in there for when I washed it last. The fluid was clear but I didn't check to see if it was water or oil. I will pull the plug and see what comes out.

Pulled the plug and no more fluid drained out. Also, the fluid on the trailer was gone this morning so it must have been water that evaporated. Thanks for the help.

Good to hear, I never replaced mine as it will only get bent again, so I just remove the plug at 100 hour service time and have yet to have anything come out.

I would recommend keeping an eye on that. Kubota has had a bit of a problem with the 40 series tractors leaking oil from the trans into the clutch housing via the 4WD shaft.
