Jeepn is good for the Soul. I remove my top the first day it's warm enough to drive it in the Spring and don't put it back on until late Fall. I carry a cab cover in case I get caught in the rain somewhere. My wife and I own 8 Jeeps today, that number is constantly changing.

Wow. You're a Jeep addict! This is my second one and I'm hooked. I love hitting the trails in this rig. I went to Jeep Jam last year and was totally amazed what this thing could go through. It was a great trail ride. I'm not big on the mud holes but love the steep grades and flexing the suspension on angles. My next upgrade will be some M/T's. I can't justify ditching the A/T's just yet. The price of tires is out the roof.

Saw the one with the come-a-long. It had some bad reviews. Several said that the top would drop too fast when reinstalling the top. The price really jumps w the added electric winch. I'm thinking of useing a boad trailer style wall mounted ratchet to lift it with. I didn't come up with the idea. Saw several this way on one of my Jeep forums.

I should have done a boat winch or something similiar but did not want to make a bracket to make the winch stick out from the wall far enough to turn the handle. Guess I could have turned it sideways somehow.

You can get a 12v with a couple hundred pounds of pull for less than $100. Look at smittybuilt or Northern tool.

If you put in a front locker you would really be hooked. I was amazed at what the aussie locker did for my TJ.

I have Detroit Lockers in the front and rear of my Titan. Never really go off roading but when I do or pull someone who is stuck I am amazed at how much stronger it pulls than the other dozen or so trucks.

Do the windshields fold down on the new Wranglers?

I like them all, but was born(not really, but close) in a '42 Ford GPW. Flatfenders forever :D

That little flathead four would only do about 55mph, but it would go anywhere. That was before lift kits, and we though 11.50-15's were HUGE tires :D We(my Dad) never broke anything; it did not have enough power to. But it went everywhere...

I don't think that 4-banger had 80hp... closer to 60 maybe.

It's fun to get them out, drop the top, drop the windshield, and go cruising on the rocks(Rubicon is less than two hours from here...).

Check out the the new 2012 Wranglers. 2012 Jeep Wrangler Press Release and Information They picked up an extra 80+ HP with the new Pentastar engine. The new interior (changed in 2011) looks more like a Grand Cherokee than a Wrangler. The new ones are tempting but I've got WAY too many mods on this one to start over. I also have the lifetime warranty. No way am I gettin rid of this one.

Yes. The hood still has the rubber rests and strap loop.

Sounds like the Suzuki Samaria my HS buddy had. That thing was unstoppable.

Very nice. Them lockers are almost like having another set of 4 wheel if you know what I mean. When I got this Titan I was amazed at how you go 2 wheel drive to its limit, then you have 4 high to its limit, then 4 low to its limit. The lockers are almost like a whole other transfer case.

Can you engage the rear locker in 2 wheel drive? I could not until I did a modification on the Titan. It was set up from the factory to only engage while in 4 Low. The mod I did now allows it to be engage in any gear, 2 wheel, 4 high, or 4 low.
