I forgot to put the pins in the bottom of the jdqa holder and sort of snapped off the grapple. Was lazy and didn't get off and forgot. Completely stupid... Nothing seemed to bend but I noticed the two dump cylinders were moving at different rates when i went to reattach the grapple. Finally got it reattached - everything seemed ok and took it off. Cylinders still not working at same speed with nothing attached which makes attaching things a real PITA. Did some work with the bucket and disconnected - same issue. Any thoughts on why or what I may have screwed up? No visible damage. Thank you - Dana

Nothing is wrong. Hydraulics follow the path of least resistance. Which ever cylinder offers the least resistance will move first and/or faster than the other. Perfectly normal.

As kennyd stated the rod that ties both QA shoes together is only there to solve the cyl timing issue.

Kenny, may be correct but I'm not 100% sure. My 300x dump is over 6" off and the pins are fine. Just alot of slop in the holes. I took the whole thing apart just cause I couldn't believe how much play there was. I was planning on ordering a new timing bar since I have new pins.

Well I checked the pins today and they are still there. Lots of movement though in the whole setup, particularly on the side that is quicker. Guess it is what it is. Can't tell if something is bent but I guess I feel better that this is not uncommon.

I have also seen the rod snapped just inside the casting. It was still there, the pins were still there, but it was free on that end.

I haven't done that bad yet, but I did manage to twist the timing arm. Had to block one cylinder and retract the other to get it mostly straight.
