painting my 6x12 trailer

I'm in the process of replacing the wood floor on my trailer so I decided to paint it while I had the floor removed.I'm gonna sandblast it.My question is should i prime it and what type of paint should i use.I am spraying with airless sprayer

Yes I would prime it with 2 part epoxy or just a laquer primer which is cheaper and then agood implement paint or industrial enamel or multi purpose enamel. Make sure to clean that metal good before you prime. Clean till the rag comes clean with prep solve or other. I have cleaned with Purple Power and then wiped down with Xylol. Prime as soon as you are done prepping.

I just finished my 16' trailer a month ago. I used the epoxy primer and then good quality enamel with very good results.:thumbsup:

I ALWYAS prime metal before I paint it.

choose a primer compatible / same brand as your paint for best bet.

i use valspar implement enamil, and their oil base primer.. works good.

i paint my wood decks with black asphalt paint.. makes em last a long time.. thus i use black paint on the trailers.. etc.
