Oh well, I guess I'll keep looking. I know my neighbor has a 3600 that he added rops, and a canopy to, I will ask him where he got them. I know I looked at a 3000 that had them, but I didn't buy that tractor since the dealer was so far way. And I didn't even notice until they delivered it, but its a row crop tractor, so I guess it will be a lot more stable since the rear axles are wider than normal..

what is a row crop 3000 never seen or heard of one i've seen the orchard and vineyard tractors and the the normal old ag tractor but there was never a row crop 3000

That is correct. The second character in the model number would have to be "2" to be a row crop, the smallest of which was a 4200.

Not at all.. I just recall herc rops not being certified to work in the states.. that's all.

since in most cases here, a osha certified rops is required, especially if an employee is on a machine.. a herc rop would not work.. just don't see many of them here IMHO, due to that issue.

Thats ok I have no problem with what you said I agree totally that if it does not come up to standards then it should not be fitted, I have just had a look on the bare co site and i see they state that their ROPS listed meet osha standard.
As a side note over here if you have a machine that does not have a ready made or hard to get ROPS then in victoria you are allowed to build a "one of". If you have seen some of the welding done by some of my customers i would not let them weld a gate let alone a ROPS:laughing::(

The rear axles just seem wider than normal, hence the reference to ''row crop''. Maybe I need my eys checked... :confused2:

I guess the previous owner could have modified it some how, or put wheel spacers on it perhaps? I know up until about 7 years ago, the farmers in my area made their living off of Tobacco, so I guess it could have been modified for that. Who knows, I wish they made a ''carfax'' for tractors..

does it have power adjust wheels because the have about a 4 in spacer bolted on each wheel to widen it that would be the only way i could thing to axles could get any longer

I agree.. I've also seen the narrow ones.. but never a rowcrop.

though i guess someone could have frankensteined up something using a 4000SU ie.. outboard planetaries, and 3000 front end, and then stuck in a 3000 / 3 cyl tranny.. thus making it look like a 3000 with a wide front end

to the OP.. post pics of this machine, front, side, and rear.. read us the bellhousing number stamped in, plus the tag under the hood, and give us clear view of the rear axle trumpets.

i'm not familiar either with a '3000 RC '

remember.. most rim centers can be dished OUT, and you can then set the rim to the farthest out setting on the center.. so rims out and centers out can make a QUITE wide looking machine.. especially if on 24" rubber.

post pics.
