DW, Nice pics, are the coats there always so thin or is it the heat wave/drout? Even in summer ours look 2x the size but it is only fur.
I sure like your town, my sister has lived there since the late 70's, it was always fun to visit midwinter and be able to swim in the San Marcos river!

Yep, with 70+ days now above 100 most fur bearers have lost as much hair as they can. That, plus "Foxy Lady" was nursing 5 kits as you can see in the pics. They don't lay down to nurse. She stands while the kits flip on their backs and nurse upside down. They're all full size now, and larger than her. But, she is still the provider and takes the weiners to them. The kits always come first. Only after they are fed does she eat the last weiner. I know the turkey weiners probably aren't the best food for them but buying and feeding raw meat has many drawbacks. Plus she can actually gather up 4 weiners in her mouth at once to take to the kits. Fun to watch. They are very smart and seem to actually make a plan before proceeding. More than I can say for some people. :confused2:
