SeaFoam like or dislike?

I use Stabil for any gas that i buy for stuff around the farm. It helps, I have less problems than I used to. When a small engine has problems, I use SeaFoam. Usually helps.

Seafoam definately helps, keep it running.Startron Enzyeme for those sitting diesel fuel tanks, it is in a blue bottle..

seafoam WAS a good deal years ago. Now overpriced.

Lc20 or MMO will do the same.

$10 for a can that lasts a couple of years isn't out of line, IMO.

I bought my first can of it a couple weeks ago for a new to me used Subaru. Haven't dumped it in yet so I can't comment, but in general it is difficult to tell what these additives really do. To say everything is still running does not mean much, would they not run with out the additive? What about all the high millage vehicles on the road that never saw a drop of additive?

I think it makes us feel better as much or more than it does anything to the vehicle. That said I use them myself, Lucas, 3M, Marvel and some others.
I figure if it does the slightest bit of good it's worth it.

I use Stabil in all power equipment that is not used for a month or more. It helps, but we're still messing with carbs all the time

I don't use it UNTIL something is running rough. If it saves a trip to the shop, it's worth the 50 cents.

I buy my gas from a bulk supplier for the farm use They insist that sea foam has been added to the fuel. For long term storage like S/B Generators. so no need to add your own.
Have noticed in the last few years that having to get in line for the city police and the Sherriff Deputys to fuel there vehicles. No bio additives.
Now purchased from a service station gas in 2- 5 gal. plastic containers and added one to tractor noticed stuff flowing into the tank looked like calf slobber but already in tank before realized .
Tractor ran about a block and died. fuel filter full of what looked like chewing gum. cleaned bowl and again about a block distance again stopped running filter full of same stuff.
returned to tractor shed and drained into a old T shirt then to clean empty 5 gal. container.
before empting the fuel tank the T shirt had plugged up and almost over flowed in the funnel. Looked like chewing gum again.
No wonder the cars of today have fuel pump problems.
I strained this fuel 3 times before it would flow through a cloth strainer.
Looked at the unused 5 gal. container and gas had seperated in layers .
so filtered this container also. on the tractor took a cloth wired to rod and swabbed the tank until tank looked clean. Poured 2 gal of diesel into tank then drained back into the container. Put the filtered gas back in the tractor and seems to run O'k. Are we going to have to go back like 40 years ago and filter all gas as we put it in tank?
I use sea foam and get good results. expensive. No saves a 1/2 day of cleaning fuel system.

We got a break on the seafoam, it was $8.00 a can, buy 2 and get the third one free...I don't pour it in until I detect needing it for rough running. I try to empty the carb everytime....It was worked miracles on troubles. Gas can be strained with a chamois if you have one? I also have some very fine stainless mesh screen for gas. I hate seeing water in the tank or fuel bottles.....especially at over $3.00 a gallon.

To bad when it was $6 a can, not to long ago, it was over pimped...There are better cleaners out there for less. Heck, a can of Amsoil power foam it what $6 and will clean 2 to 3 intakes on cars when seafoam would maybe do one...Nevermind the poor cleaning.

And for fuel cleaning 131 will outperform it 100X. Again seafoam is great if you are stuck on it. I loved it till I looked around.
