Gator Grapple Guards for JD QA Mounts

I added two 1/4 x 2" steel bars to the rear of my grapple to help protect my JD tractor. Without 'em there is this huge void which alllows branches to pass thorugh and gettcha in the grille or hyraulic lines, etc.

I dont think tractors with SS mounts have this same issue (?)......but with JD mounts your tracgtor is vulnerable to damage. Thought some other JD guys may want to see the improvement. Easy and affordable improvement. :thumbsup:

When I bought my land....and later bought my first tractor.....I never dreamed I would own a grapple. Now after owning this upgraded tractor and grapple.....I dont know how I could get along without it.

I almost never put my bucket on the loader anymore. I think I have hauled away over 100 trees with the grapple and have done so in 1/5 the time it used to take me.

The grapple gets ALLOT of work done for me....lotsa bang for the buck. :thumbsup:

Ditto. My standard bucket is literally unused after 4 years. I use my grapple and occasionally my 4n1 or forks but the grapple rules when it comes time to remove trees/brush.

Here is the mod I did to mine earlier this summer. I have the SSQA, and it still had the same problem. It's awesome now. Nothing gets through.

The large bars just under the point where the jaw pivots mount was some 3/8" angle I welded in at the same time to fix Gator's design defect when used on a Kubota SSQA. Now the grapple doesn't randomly pop off when used hard.
