Guess the RTV 500 Stays

I decided to keep the RTV 500....it earns it's keep as a snow mover enough to justify keeping it. I decided to redress the front of it though.....this year it's going to be wearing a V Plow instead of a straight plow. Can't wait to see how it does...well that's an exaggeration I can wait until at least December I hope.:laughing:

I ordered up one of these blades to go on my current frame

Where did you order that? Is is manual or does it have a pump/motor? That is exactly what I want to put on mine.:drool:

I ordered it direct through Eagle's Northstar website....it's all manual. Last year I didn't really have any issues manually pivoting my straight blade the few times I had to when plowing.

UTV Snow Plow Blades

You need a blade, mount and push bar set up. It might be cheaper to buy it as an assembly...the blades by themselves were quite a bit cheaper going direct.

So just the blade is 459? The push bar is an extra 200? I'm thinking I will need to make custom mounts to get it farther forward to clear my tracks.

Do me a favor and post picks of the mounting locations and clearances in the front when it is in the v position. That is exactly what I was talking about buying last winter.

I run a boss v on my bobcat and in the v position it will almost go through anything. I will say that the RTV will be just like my bobcat in that they both go slow and with out speed like a truck to throw the snow to the side eventually I do get too much build up out front and need to push that to the side to keep going. Then again that only happens twice in the 1/4 mile driveway I have:laughing:
