I'm a bit baffled by this so any assistance is appreciated.

When I completely curl in the loader arm (ie the hydrallic arms are completely retracted) everything is fine. As soon as I start to curl it out (hydraulics start to extend), the left one starts to move before the right and they end up uneven from that point out.

Result- I cannot attach my implements with the QA as they are not even.

The hydraullic fluid was a little low so I topped that off and cycled everything that uses hydraullics but the problem was not solved.

Thanks for any input you may have. - Paul

Paul, are your SS paddles at the end of your loader arms attached with a torque tube? There should be a square or round tube that runs from one to the other and welded securely onto each adapter. If that is not there, the side with the least resistance inside the hydraulic cylinder will extend all the way before the other one starts to extend. The torque tube ties them together so you get the same movement.

Thanks for a quick reply. Yes, the torque tube is in place in there are no defects.

Is it possible that the "slow" side is bent or rubbing inside the gland nut? It seems that much friction would not be normal. Can you put the paddles up against a flat surface and extend them so that the fast one has some added resistance?

Edit: If your arms are fine when you retract them, why not run them all the way out and then retract just enough to hook up your QA attachment? I know this isn't preferred, but it might be a work around.

Is it pinned or welded as Jim mentioned? If pinned like they are on JD's there is good chance a pin is broken.

If you approach the attachment so the shoe thats sticking out further makes contact, then move the joystick a little they should even up to allow final attachment. Some forward pressure with the HST pedal will help also.

I'll take a look at this later and see if I can get a better look at it. Thanks for the input...I'll be back shortly!

I checked all pins and welds and everything looks good.

Unfortunately, this is not a situation of one sticking out a little more and whether I can finess it in - I can't as the QA simply wont' seat properly.

Can you post a picture or two Paul? If the pins and welds the secure the torque tube to the shoes are OK I don't see how the two shoes can get out of time.

NH SSQA devices are welded assemblies. Yours is twisted; when the bucket cylinders are fully retracted, the QA device is forced straight. As soon as the cylinders extend, the force of the twisted torque tube overcomes the resistance of the cylinders which are plumbed in parallel, and the device resumes its twisted shape.

Rick, if that's the case, shouldn't he be able to pull the pins and remove the QA adapter, making the twist obvious?
