Good time of year to check your battery's before winter hits...a new cheap battery will run ya 50-100 dollar nowadays...

Go online and get the codes for advance auto parts. They can be had for $30 off 75 or more. Use it and then pick it up at the store. a $100 battery can be had for 70 this way. I do this all the time on orders and batteries with these codes. PM me and i will share them if your to lazy to look. But all you really need to do is have a cookie on your PC from advace and they will sart popping up on the side of the pages in the add section.

Where to you have to pay $100 for a battery? I just bought a battery last week for $65, they have RV deep cycle batteries on sale this week for $60. Those are exchange prices, 84 month warranty.

Yep that battery will fail when it wants to. Just over 1000 hrs on my tractor always starts first time every time and just last week at 6 a.m. I was jumping it off.

Get a float charger from Harbor Freight for about $5 and keep it fully charged all winter. A lead acid battery will last a very long time if kept fully charged.

I use a trickle charger on all my batteries, 3 vehicles, 2 boat, 3 tractors, and 4 bikes...,My cheapest is 42.00 my most expensive 180.00, its a gel spiral wound...The least I have gotten is 3 years on a die hard, my longest was 12 years on a gel.
I take em out in the winter and shelve em with positive terms facing out, then trickle when I remember to do so...
I would rather maintain than buy, and I try not to get the cheapest, which are typically made in china.
