0.00 means there is no resistance(good!). It will say OL or some other high number if the leads are not touching anything or the circuit you are testing is "open"
What are you reading with the switch in the "off" position?
Disconnect the wire from the coil and do the test again, you could have a short in the coil and are reading thru it instead of the wiring.
I believe when it was off it was reading some numbers. I have the saw back together now, I will have to try that tomorrow. I am hoping they can test the coil at the dealer tomorrow... At this point I think I will order a new coil just to rule that out... What is the difference with an OEM coil and the aftermarket from Baileys? The OEM IS ATONE $44.00 The one at Baileys was on sale for $60...
