The dozer hasn't moved in more than a year. Now when I put it in gear and let out the clutch it won't break free. The tracks won't move at all. Tried to break it loose by pulling it with another tractor and broke the chain.
Advice please.

If I let mine sit too long, the tracks get real stiff...

What about penetrating oil on all the links?

I now will start and run it with the tracks in the air... blade and ripper down... and run it it through it's paces... seems to keep everything free and ready to use.

It's something internal. Rusted or stuck something. If I run the motor full trottle, 1st gear and let out the clutch I could probable kill the motor. It won't budge.

Does your model have external contracting brake bands?

I've seen one time where the bands had bonded to the wear surface...

Your brake bands are rusted to the steering clutch drums, among other things. Responsible ownership dictates you don't let machinery stand idle for too long without starting and moving it, even just a little. Time to start dissasembly.
