No doubt about it, been down about there in winter on a snowmobile trip and at your altitude you seem to have a little more snow than we do up here, judging from the height of the snowbanks. I'm into commerical snow removal so I tend to notice such details

When I bought my first tractor I assessed my needs very carefully but didn't see some of the requirements I would have like running a PTO generator that takes some power. That's why I went to the 2720. I does 95% of what I need to get done and I wanted the smallest package to get in and out of our barn and to get through the woods here when I had to.

Having owned both, I can tell you the 2520 is twice the loader tractor as the 4100. The extra length and weight helps a great deal with the total lift and the confidence you have when carrying a load. The hydraulics are much faster. Also, get R4 tires up front if you are serious about loader work. The Turfs do not hold the weight very well, compared to the R4s. Another nice improvement of the 2520 or 2720 over the 4100 is the 2xxx tractors are direct injection engines, and the 4100 was indirect. D.I. seems snappier, and is also a bit louder unfortunately (no matter what Deere says).

Just driving the tractor would not show much of a difference in power unless there's a significant jump in size or you're hauling something. I think you will appreciate the difference once you put the tractor to work for a while.
I used my 2720 today to move my pellets into my garage. I put ten bags to a bucket (400 lbs.) the power steering lagged a little..probably normal....but it handled very well and I was pleased....i hope to mow with the tractor this weekend

Run out of fuel or get a little water in the line and tell me which injection system you would rather have!

For those who have the 2720 and the 46 backhoe:
How do you find the power going uphill in high range? My 2520 is anemic in this situation with any incline past a few degrees. It's ok going uphill without the backhoe on, but I wouldn't say it doesn't still get my attention.
