If you reply to a spam first post, your post is left behind after the spam post has been deleted (as the user's account gets deleted which deletes all of their posts).
Better to just click on the triangle to report it and leave it at that.

Thanks to everyone. I was not aware of that. Now I know what the "triangle" is for and its purpose.

I moderate other forums using the same format as TBN...

Sometimes my notification will list 20 or 30 reports of Spam... can't assume they are all for the same post and it gets time consuming.

Flagging by posting "Reported" cuts down on duplicated effort for Mods and Users.

Only in that other members will see the post has already been reported so there is no need for multiple reportings.
