unfortunately, in florida where it's nearly always warm, if you want to carry discreetly.. you have to pick and choose.

I currently carry a keltec P3AT it's .380, so the 9n that the OP is looking for might be close.. :) easy to carry.. lots of manufacturers have someting in a similar sized gun.

Discrete carry in 9mm...take a look at the Kahr CW9 (as foggy1111 posted previously). Although my old MK9 was too heavy, the CW9 should be good for pocket carry.
I just wear a vest (from Cabela's) over my GLOCK...covers it nicely.

vest might cause heat stroke here. in florida.. if you are outside anywhere.. it needs to be fully concealable in a tshirt and shorts.. :)

besides.. at 6" long.. it's getting big.. not to mention nearly an inch wide.

This one (Cabela's: Cabela's Safari® Vest) is pretty light with a vented back. Gets pretty hot and humid here in PA and this vest over a tee shirt works pretty good.
Not knocking .380 though...that little LCP I have goes nicely in that vest (or a pants pocket) as a back up.

True. That icky dirty ammo all fed ok, and functioned. It just made for much more of a chore cleaning at the end of the day.

I don't normally buy volume (except for 7.62x39 and 5.56 NATO), but if you recall, ammo did get scarce a few years back.
If we ever get into a real SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse situation, I reckon we won't be worrying about how dirty the ammo is.

I believe more people (civilians) are killed each year with a .22LR than any other round.

You can use a .44 Magnum, but if you can't hit your target, the caliber won't matter.

The FBI killings in Miami started the whole "the 9mm isn't enough" debate, but the fact is the good guys came across some determined men and the "luck" of the situation wasn't on the good guys side. That fact seems to be lost on people.

I shoot pretty much all calibers, and my most favorite caliber is the gun that is by my side.

As mentioned, try before you buy. One gun may feel good in the hands, but another may feel great. Felt recoil is something else you can try before you buy as well. Generally speaking, the lighter the gun, the more felt recoil (given the caliber is the same).

The 92FS is a great gun, but don't buy it just because it's military issue. That's a whole other topic unto itself LOL

Yeah...I've read those reports. Although the 9mm round did get an undeserved bad reputation out of that gunfight, there was a silver lining. Since then, there have been some fantastic 9mm ammo developed.

I normally use Speer Gold Dot for carry ammo, but I like Hornady Critical Defense too (first tried the Critical Defense in a Ruger LCP since I wanted a round that had some "omph" to it as well as feed reliably...I was so impressed, I bought it in 9mm too).

I thought the FBI killings in Miami were a case of the FBI personnel having revolvers and reloading under fire vs bad guys with semi auto pistols.

a trick for cleanning especially after dirty forien ammo
get a plastic tackle or tool box and glue a cheap ladies vibrator to the outside (use contact cement it holds fast) remove the grips and place the pistol inside top off with diesel fuel and turn on the vibrator. It takes a couple of hours but it does a great job

Lady's vibrator?????????????
I've got to ask...how did you come up with this idea? And does your wife/girl friend know you're using her vibrator?

Just a comment: My S&W MP9 shoots about 2" at 25 yards. My S&W 686 shoots about 1/2" at 25 yards. Which one do you think I shoot more?
