We just had our patio conceted and stamped and it really looks good, however, when the installers sprayed the clear sealant the overspray blew onto the vinyl siding on our home. Has anyone had this happen to them? Have you heard of any cleaners or solvents that will remove this stuff safely without damaging the vinyl siding? Once the concrete guys left with their check they have become invisible! I don't remember the name of the sealant, but it was in a red and white 5 gallon can and it was something 50. I decided not to tackle this project myself as I don't like working in with large pours anymore, I'm too old, out of shape, and fat to do that now! I guess I should rethink this policy!

I think you should throw this back on the contractor he should have insurance for just this kind of problem. Did you pay him yet?

If it was water based, prolly be ok. Now solvent based it might "eat" into the surface. Do you have an empty can?

I used a presure washer to get it off my siding, it takes a while, but it worked for me.

I think the stuff that they used was solvent based as it had a distinctive odor that permeated the house and it smelled like mineral oil. It gives a shine to the concrete work. That part is fine, it looks good, but the bottom few layers of the siding are covered with the overspray. It's not worth taking them to court over this as lawyers are the only winners and I think they know that. I have pressure washed it with Krud Kutter, and that helped a lot, but it didn't phase the sealant. I will check with the suppliers later this week as they aren't locally based and I have to make a trip of about 40 miles to see what they have.

Thanks
