Dealer called today
Said:
Tractor should be shipped (from Texas) Wednesday, and arrive(Kansas) Thursday.
Dual rem, Block&Hydro heat installed Friday. Hopefull I can pick it up Saturday.
Think I would like to do more dealing w/him
I have a 2001 KTM SX 250 and since I,ve been married rode it once
(married since 2006). Id like to see if he would take it in on trade toward mower or box blade.
He deals in lots of smaller 2 stroke equip and the bike is plush.
I dunno
We'll see what happens.
Crossing fingers:licking:

Im still young and dumb
I like mowin w/o shirt out in the sun

PS Really a bad idea when ya got a lot of hedge/osage orange. Looks like I played "patty cake" w/ a sticker bush:p
But like I said Im young and dumb:D
Thank you for the sugestion

Also I was curious:
Have you used a backhoe tractor(like come from the factory backhoe)?
How does it compare to the attachment for the Mahindras?
I am used to using a Bobcat 331 mini-ex and I know that a hoe on a tractor(even the factory built ones) is not as efficent but would I be better off/less dissapointed w/ finding a used hoe instead of buying a 10 grand attachment.
Also I was wondering does it seem like your mahindra has enough weight or does the hoe just drag the tractor around. Does it seem like you need spikes on the pads?
Thanks for the reply with your knowledge and experience.

Eric,
I have not been on a full size Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB). But have rented a Kubota TLB and a Bobcat 331. The Kubota was smaller than my Mahinda and the Bobcat331 works about the same as my backhoe. The Bobcat is slow to move. My Mahindra has enough weight, but a good backhoe can move any TLB, mine included.

A TLB is the best in one machine. Two machines, I would go with a mini excavator and a skid steer loader, but it depends on what your wanna do. Two machine, two drivers, and two trips, unless you have a large enough trailer. The mini excavator can dig more faster around objects and the skid steer loader can move around objects faster than my 6520 4WD with the backhoe and loader, but for one machine....I choose my Big RED Beast.

Cool thanks for the input
It sounds like the backhoe is a good investment then. I just didnt know if it was more of a "yea I might use it once in a while and can deal w/ the limitations" but it sounds like it can be used just as well as a TLB.
Well maybe I drive a thousand or so miles and come borrow yours hehe! Just kiddin.
But thank ya for the input.
Now if only I could find where I left that ten grand?

Eric,
I want an excavator also. I had a job in June I could have done in half the time with an excavator. But the tractor loader backhoe is the all around utility machine. Backhoes are worth the money and useful for things you never think about. In the attached photo the backhoe is holding the engine forward while a mount is removed while removing the head to remove a broken spark plug.

Now Im gonna have to wait till next week before I can go get my shinny new tool of mass distraction:(

So many things around the house I wanna get done
