I have a whopping 20 hours on my BX25 and have developed a leak at one of the fittings on my back hoe. It is down at the swing piviot and is marked with red tape. I figure it is metric, but can't find a wrench to fit it. Out of 3 open/box wrench sets I have.....not one has a 18mm and it appears that might be the size. It could be a flair nut wrench I need as the space is pretty tight between fittings. ANybody know for sure?

I would have the dealer take care of it and check the other fittings of course top off fluids including the front end...that has been known to be low

Your not serious, are you? Load a tractor and take it back to a dealer to tighten a fitting which may take days or weeks and then go back and get it??????????:confused2:

It's hard to determine if the leak is in the fitting or the hose. I was convinced I had a coupler leak and took the hose into the dealer who showed me a tiny crack in the hose. Good luck.

Just saying Johnthomas that with so little hours on his unit and the location of the leak and not knowing for sure if it a simple tightening or a bad hose, that if it was me and only a suggestion to have the dealer come out. I had the same problem on my BX23 and when they came out and checked mine they found several connection that were loose on the BH and FEL and one bad line/connection on the BH in the first month and 60 hours I owned it. Had them also check all the fluids and they found the front end and of course the hydro levels could not be seen on the dip sticks. The bad news was they wanted to take it in (and yes it was gone for 2 weeks) but the good news was they then did the 50 hour service at no charge for any of the labor and only charged me 1gal of fluid and for both filters. The I think this was also the reason why when my tranny went out after it was a few months out of warranty that they took care of my tranny and also the front end leaking problems and again all at no charge to me. And just maybe because of what happened early on. So who knows but I have well over 1200 hours with no other problems.http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/smilies/2/thumbsup.gif
