Interesting Mulcher

Looks like a 3 point mulcher or flail mower mounted in a front 3 point hitch.
Not common here, but fairly common across the pond.

Aaron,

Looking at other videos, it is definaltey a variant of the flail mowers common here but the knives are not on chain links. The knives are pinned to a tab off the spindle.... Looks to be more rugged that the avg flail mover....

Regards,
Chris

There are some here which do that (such as the older Mott machines), but it is less common than the chain ones for some reason.

Neato. Just be sure to clean the screen in front of the radiator. Looks like a good deal of that mulch ends up there:D.

I would be inclined to add a secondary screen in front of the grill to catch the big stuff.
The farm near my parents place has a ~15' batwing that they use to chop corn stubble and they have a 3'x6' piece of expanded metal with 1/2" holes which they put on the 3 point to keep rocks and such from kicking up into the back of the cab.

Yep, I have an expanded metal screen attached to the ROPS on my 2008 Mahindra 5525 using hose clamps to keep any flying stuff from my brush hog and flail mower from hitting my backside.

Ahh,, the joy of front mount pto:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Something thats just barley starting to take off here on larger machines. I have yet to see a CUT with it. It makes so much sense for some implements.
