I have about 3 acres of yard I use it on. For pine straw, leaves, sticks, and dethatching. It also works great for after putting grass seed down and raking it into the ground.
I'd be tempted to try the newer kind but I still think the tines will break. Especially since it's 40lbs heavier (ie more weight on the tines).
I'm going to have a neighbor try and reweld the one I have now and try to figure a way to strengthen it. I love this tool for yard work but I hate that it's falling apart so soon.
