ford 3000 hydraulic wont work after changing hydraulic filter
Do all the hydraulics fail to work, including the 3pt? Have you checked your fluid level? It should be filled clear up to the full mark. I'm thinking air in the lines.
Usually the filter is in the return line close to the pump. When you put air in the lines by changing the filter, the pump doesn't always get fluid right away- especially if your fluid levels are low.
Also be sure you got the oring and filter seated well. If it is sucking air, the pump won't work very well, either.
Once it starts working, work the air through your system by working your largest cylinders to its limits, then each of the cylinders until the whining goes away.
IMPORTANT: Do not trust the cylinders until the air is out and your system is working normally. Air in the system or a cylinder can lead to a rapid loss of pressure in a cylinder (air compresses, fluid does not).
Hope you already worked this out!
