Questions?? I have a BX 25 and looking at a snow blade set up. Will probably get the QH for it first and then save up to get the blade or adapt a used one. Does the QH when installed interfere with the FEL? Hope not as that would queer the idea for me. Second question; can you keep the FEL on when the snow blade is on? I realize that I would have to one when the other is working as they both use the FEL hydraulics. That seems easy to set up a mechanical block mechinism. It apperas easier/quicker to drop the blade than the FEL. I could probaly add a second set of valves and maintain the PB circuit as a further refinement also.

In general our snow here in Puget Sound is not very often or very much so the blade would be used for a lot of other things more than for snow. I have lived here for 40 years and the worst I have seen is 24" over several days and teen temps for over two weeks. The area was grid locked with not much moving except the crazys that wound up in the ditch for the duration. Tow trucks only take the easy ones or traffic blockers during such times.

The quick hitch won't interfere with the FEL, but it stays very close to the ground. I don't think you will be able to use the FEL and the blade at the same time.

If you can drop the hoe, and use a backblade, that might be a better alternative.

Here is a picture of the quick hitch on my Massey

I don't know about the Massey but on my bx24 if does interfere somewhat. If your using the blade zoned not the blower it only takes 2 minutes to put the hitch on and off. A quick on plow that attaches to the bucket would probably be better. Look at the one from bxpanded.

I thought about suggesting that one, but the OP said it would be used for 'other things'. Could get a bit dicey, i dunno.

The QH on my bx does interfere with the loader. If it doesn't interfere on your Massey then your lucky. Makes life better if the QH could stay on. I only mean to give him suggestions and endorse no products. But I do see your point about possibly being dicey

I can't even hook up my loader when I have my quick hitch on :( I have to take the quick hitch off every time I want to use the loader.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll see for awhile if someone with a BX 25 pipes up. I will call that Kubota sales guy and have him send me the few pages from the manuals that show how theylook fit on. He seemed to be very helpful so I'll put him the the service test.

I tried searching for the thread where we discussed this before and I can't find it.

The hitch for Kubota and Massey are the same. The blowers are the same, just different paint and numbers.

I coulda sworn that someone said the hitch could be left on with the FEL installed on the BX, i could just as easily be mistaken.

But with that aside, if you plan on moving anything other than snow with the plow, you would want the frame mount type or a backblade for on the 3 pt. hitch.

The fel is easy to drop, and on the Quick hitch, only one 'T' bolt holds it on and 2 hydraulic lines. I also have a driveshaft on mine that takes a few seconds to connect or disconnect.
