John Deere 2040 valve flow

Does anyone know the flow rate at the rear remotes for a John Deere 2040? I know the pump is capable of 13.5 gpm. I've seen some specs on TractorData.com that show different flow for the power steering, pump and remote, but it doesn't say for the 2040.

Is the 13.5 gpm info not good enough for the application, or suspect info?
Might try to find a flow meter and check it that way.

Are you adding something to the rear remotes, like a wood splitter?

Appears there may be two options for the hyd. pump. One listed in jdparts as 0.67 cu. in. and another at 1.38 cu. in.

Then there is a separate pump for power steering, also 0.67 cu. in.

Some different s/n breaks too.

Might have a larger pump on industrial 2040 production to accomodate a back hoe.

I am adding a wood splitter and it has 11gpm MAX. I guess I could get a restrictor to be safe right?

I pick up the tractor next week so I can'y check the flow right now, but I wanted to order the splitter today.

Others may have more to offer, but I wouldn't think extra flow would be a concern. Just that the splitter may move a bit faster.
Size of hyd. hose to the splitter will slow down flow too.

Yeah, I thought the same thing but there were a lot of warnings from folks on the log splitter forum about exceeding the flow. The brand of log splitter is PowerHorse carried by Northern Tool in case anyone was wondering.
