18 hp is plenty. For many flat 1/2 acre to 1 acre lots I can see this model perfect.

Yes it is a good combination, but I would love a 300 with the K56 or K66 instead of the K46 although the K46 is doing fine. Wish Deere would make them like cars - offer options on motor, trans, lift, pto etc and get built for exactly what you want and can afford.
I don't need the power steering but would like the power lift if price not too bad:) Think the 310 is aimed at at 300 using a snow blower.

Deere makes a power Lift Kit for the X3xx and X5xx. $439 at RunGreen.com... The nice thing is it gives you some downforce pressure for a blade or blower.

sorry i was delayed in answering, been down in Florida the past week.

looks like a niche mower, going to be some folks that really
want that lift and steering assist but don't need a large deck.

Choke Choke - $439?? I said reasonable price. For $100 I can get a winch that will lift 3 X300s. Looks like a well engineered little lift linear actuator, but over priced in my book - $150 - 200 would be about right. Thanks for the info.

Just my opinion but I den't see the need for a power lift for a small mower deck. the manual deck lift on my L130 is simple and easy to use. Same with power steering, don't see the need for it either. If you need a power lift for a snowblower and power steering I recommend you get a larger model machine to start with.
