Winter's coming and little heat in the cab! Anyone else have a DK55 that has poor heat output on a cold day? The dealer told me that they were known for this and just wondered if anyone had a solution other than a trade in.
I don't freeze by any means but still gotta wear a coat when plowing snow.

My 45 has the same issue.I bought a plug in 12v electric heater. Placed it behind the seat. It keeps the rear window clear plus adds a little extra heat. Also, I switch the air circulation to cab air recycling - this helps too.

Good luck.

Yea but where you are in the winter a woodstove in your 45 would be pushin it to keep warm.
Thanks and i'll try the electric addition this winter.

Might a thermostat change be in order?
I recall when cars had winter and summer stats. and when some folks restricted the rad airflow with cardboard sheet with a hole cut out in the center.

My dk45 roasts me out of the cab... i cant put it over 1/2 way or it gets too hot.

It just migh be a thermostat issue.

I had a window fogging issue on my DK45SEC, to cure the problem i went with an aftermarket thermostate, since kioti has only one model which is a 180. Now i must remove my coat and put down the heat to stay in the cab, even in the freezing winter days of Quebec.

Yea I hear the new ones are way better. Maybe a trade in will fix the problem.

I do not know if this is is from a change Daedong made or just Bobcat, but Bobcat's parts list shows a different part number for thermostat on tractor with cab vs open ROPS machine. I can find no specifications that list the different temps on the thermostat, only one in the manual is 185 F. Anyway the Part Number from Bobcat is 7010319 and Daedong/Kiotoi P/N is E5853-73011.

Check the heater valve in top of the cab to make sure it is going to full open, if OK then look at thermostat.

My kioti parts book only lists 1 thermostat and doesnt show a difference between open station and cab. they list part # E5800-73011

hmmm, you would think a cab with heat would be different, wouldnt you?

That part number you have is the one that Bobcat number crosses to for the open station. I think this thermostat change occured a year or so after the cab came out for the new DKs & Bobcat tractors, you may have an older parts manual. Check with your dealer and see if they list the other one. If not call aa bobcat dealer and give them the part number I listed before.
