...my judgment of your insight is not ignorance, just calculated on your posts, including the last one.
...my judgment of your insight is not ignorance......
Makes perfect sense Chris....
I remember the 'good ole days' back when most if not all of the current crop of posters was nowhere to be seen (or heard from) on this site and almost every post was about something directly related to tractors or farm type things. Was more enjoyable then, than now.
Was talking to Henro on the phone a couple weeks ago. He used to post quite a bit but not now. He don't much care for the 'new age format' or the current posters. He lurks without posting ocassionally. Still the same person, just a different view of things.
By the way...... Your sheet metal is in better shape than mine (49 Farmall) in the barn.
Now see 5030.. i'm into 'conflict avoidance' nowadays.
when i was younger, and maybee thought I had something to prove I might have argued that out with massey990.. but nowadays.. the mute button works fine. the way I see it.. the less time I spend reading a post that personally attacks me, .. the more time I can read a post about fixing a tractor.. or better yet.. maybee even go outisde and get greasy up to my elbows actually -fixing- a tractor.
some new zen thing I'm trying..so far it's really working on my stress.
Plus .. much less negative energy to have to avoid absorbing![]()
( the people sending me all those new-age magazines and advertisements and what not must be real happy right now.. some of it must be rubbing off during the time I walk from the mailbox to the trash receptical
)
Case and point.. in the time it didn't take me to read those all those negative / personal attack posts (wink), i was able to buff the old decals and 4 layers of paint off my 48 farmall C hood and hang it and shoot a coat of primer on it.
as an added benefit.. i get the enjoyment of know that the person i ignored probably tried posting to me a couple more times, thus waisting their time, before they figured out I'm not seeing their posts / am ignoring them. from reading about passive / agressive techniques, I hear that actually gets under the antagonists skin sometimes.. ths it's almost a double win / win situation... no negative energy, no wasted post reading, and al lil bit of a warm fuzzy feeling all rolled into one..

Well as an old folk, I thought it was an absolute riot. I also appreciated the warning as it gave new meaning to the M&M "Hungry Eyes" ad...OK guys and gals so as long as it was not just me, I feel better...I sure did not mean to offend anybody...I posted the Newpaper article about eating old people because it was so ridiculous and I thought everyone would get a kick out of it....I guess someone did not...![]()
I only got that notice once when I first joined, I posted a funny picture of a beagle and a raccoon and was told it was "obscene" :laughing:
How a picture of a beagle and a raccoon could be considered obscene I don't know :confused2:
JB
Guess that depends on what they are doing...![]()
Oh, they were "doing it" but still it's a beagle and a raccoon.
