Tractor
Kubota L3800
The place where I work just got a new L3800 with FEL, pallet forks, blade and 5' bushhog! I am a very happy camper.:D I have been moving logs, gravel, digging out stumps, and bushhogging every where I go. There are 102 acres and several clearings and roadsides that have not been cut is years that mother nature has been taking back, so when I am traveling from one place to another the hog is spinning away.5 hours on it in between rain and the bushog has been running for at least 3 of them. I have used every thing but the blade and it will get it's time to.

Sounds like you have plenty of use for it ! Use it in good health ! You are going to wonder how you ever did without it ! Don't forget to tighten the front lug nuts every once in a while while it is breaking in. I wrecked a rim and so did a friend of mine from the lugs getting lose as the paint wears off. ( according to the dealer ). Take your time and be safe.

Re-check the front axle to see if the oil needs to be topped off...

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I will check the lugs and fluid in the front end in the morning.

doe's anyone know how heavy brush I can mow down with this tractor?

It should tell you in the owner's manual of your bush hog. Some are 1inch and maybe up to 3 inch but check what it tells you. Don't not go over what it say's or you will have some repair bills on your hands.

That mostly depends on the bush hog. What brand and model is it? If it is fairly heavy duty I wouldn't hesitate to mow 2" diameter saplings with it. The other thing to be aware of is running over stuff with the tractor and tearing up things underneath. If it is real big brush I back the cutter up to it to mow it off. Smaller stuff I set the loader bucket about a foot off the ground and let the bucket push it over as I go. You just have to remember to not back up when doing that. Anything that you have pushed over under the tractor will spring back up and drive up into the bottom of the tractor possibly wrecking things.
