I need to do my 50 hr service for my rtv 500 and was wondering what synthetics you guys use for your hydro fluid. The manual says multi-grade transmission fluid
(and theirs at that of course).

AMSOIL is made just across the bridge from where I live so I probably will get one of their products to support local workers but what type/weight/brand oil do you guys use?

I'd stick with the Super UDT...Don't want to have fluid related problems...That's all I've ever used on my Kubotas.

I used the Kubota SUDT2 which supposed to be either a synthetic or synthetic blend.....I like Amsoil myself but for the hydro I stuck with Kubota just because of all the shifting horror stories I heard from other folks that didn't use SUDT or SUDT2 fluid.

I did switch the engine over to Amsoil synthetic, I'm using Amsoil Signature Series 0-30W full synthetic oil and so far so good....engine seems to be fine with it.

ESPECIALLY for winter I would definitely go the SUDT or SUDT2 route.

People have noticed more whine with UDT, especially in the cold. I've never heard anyone complain of problems using the Kubota recommended fluids.

OK, I'll use SUDT2 then. Didn't know others had problems but then that's why I asked. Thanks guys!

AMSOIL is an excellent product but for your use I would stick with the factory recommended product.
