Deer season opens tomorrow

I've been planning to have my buddy harvest a few deer this year but he tore his Achilles tendon getting out of his truck last week, I told him he could hunt from the golf cart if he wanted. I've got 14 acres of woods within a half mile of a corn field, deer have gotten lazy and use the trails instead of making their own.

You bet...see, that 12v outlet I installed is perfect for plugging in a laptop...and with so many WiFi connections...Heck, I can sneak right up on you with the Deere (green, blending in with the vegetation) and keep posting on TBN!

Of course, at 15 MPH, I'd say you got about 2 months grace time while I'm drivin'

yup.. thats with you driving 24 hours a day HA

hehe.. you call the deer lazy... and your hunting with a golf cart. That brings up an interesting question. if you hunt with a golf cart, are you required to yell "Four" before you shoot??? :D

I'm with you...I will be leaving around 4 tomorrow AM to drive to my land in my hometown, it's about 1.5 hours away. It should would be easier (and less expensive!) to set on the deck and pop this big boy.

I feel your pain, Ridgewalker. I watch dozens of deer parade through my backyard and can't shoot any of them. I have, however, identified what I believe to be a single tree that's at least 100 yards from any residence other than my own.

I might be able to legally discharge a firearm from a stand there but then there's the issue of retrieving the dead deer from my neighbors' property.

Knowing some of my neighbors, that could be a fight.

I have to be satisfied driving an hour away to my uncle's property. It's inconvenient but worth it.

No,my 25/06 put him to sleep! None of the boys were around and I was able to get the tractor close enough to load by my-self.
