Here is a few add-ons that I've been working on this fall for my rtv500. I wanted a heavy duty cab kit so I decided to try this one from the perry company in texas (fortressatv.com). It's powder coated steel and has a nice head liner under the roof and rubber trim on the edges. The only down side is the front windshield. They have a removable piece but the hood doesn't raise much at all to access my tool box or the break fluid reservoir. This really bites as I like the dry storage under there. Other then that the price was nice, fit well and it shipped right to my shop.
After the roof and windshield I welded up a roof rack and rear rack out of 1x1 tube and some flat diamond mesh. I used a bed liner coating to cover the things I built but I should have had it rhino lined or bought a better product because its already chipping off:thumbdown
duraliner I think from Napa) Did manage to mount my gun case nicely to the side. The racks will work nice for hauling ladders, boats and wood.
Also added lighting to the top. I bought some led's from x vision after searching the web. I like them for my use. Put 4 euro beam style in the front 1 flood beam in the rear. I took pics of the stock lights at night and then with the led's on. Inside the cab I mounted 2 red led's for nice ambient lighting. The red is easy on the eyes at night, used in cockpits for pilots i guess so I picked that for inside the cab but it's cool looking too I can't lie:laughing:
Oh yeah I built a receiver mount for my trap launcher too. Kinda fun to go out back and launch some clays sitting on the tailgate:thumbsup:
I like seeing pics on TBN so here is a bunch for you guys!
