I'm sure this may have been brought up before but how many JD owners like the JD quick attach over the standard Skid Steer Quick Attach? I chose to stay with the JD for the following reasons.

1. Easy to see the hooks and is kind of centers itself as you hook in.

2. You don't have to reach over greasy loader hinges to move levers.

3. Didn't cost me a $500 upgrade to switch it over

I like the ability to use rental attachments for oddball projects so the ssqa is the best option for me.

If you have several tractors or keep attachments when you upgrade tractors, then the standard skid steer type quick attach is better IMHO. I currently have three tractors and would like to be able to use several of the attachments on all three tractors,e.g., grapple, snow plow, snow blower, forks, FEL bucket, etc. When I upgrade tractors and equipment now it is with SS type quick attach for this reason.

Skid steer is more universal and no pins to lose.

Tractor buckets are light and flimsy in comparison to SS buckets

I have both as I have ATI's adapter. I like them both. The best part of the JDQA is that you know the attachment is going to fit everytime. With the SSQA there seems to be a range in what universal is. Fitment can be an issue.

I went with SS attach. For all of the reason's that others have listed -

Multiple tractor's using the same attachments, lot's of different rental attachments available, heavier duty attachments, etc.

Also, I don't have to walk around to both sides of the implement to connnect it with pins - everything is right in the middle.

I've only got one off-brand attachment - root grapple. It works well and fits just fine. Only have Bobcat and Workpro stuff. Excellent construction and quality workmanship.

I agree with these three, and add one more:

4. Weighs less.

Personally I find no need for any of the rental attachments as they are also too heavy for my 430 loader and any that I'd want would require hyd. connect. Just bucket and forks for me.

Quite true. There's a definite "threshold" in tractor and loader size when SS makes sense.

IMO - the 430 loader and the 300CX - are right at that threshold. Anything smaller - SS is "not" where you want to go.

I quite like the JDQA. Very easy to disconnect, align up and connect.

I would add a 5th. The JDQA does not project the attachment out as far as other Q/A's. I like them for this reason although I do not have a John Deere.

I would agree here, any loader with 1000# lift or less needs a lighter weight Q/A System to fully appreciate the capacities of the loader.
