my tractor runs but won't go please help

I just bought a 2wd little yanmar 18 hp I believe that is the 1500? I was bush hogging yesterday and all of a sudden I hit some tall grass and the tractor bogged down and stopped. It was still running but it would not go and tprowling was not spinning. I can put it into gear while it is running but when I let out on the clutch nothing happens just a slight moan from the bell housing area.
Any suggestions or help would be amazing and greatly appreciated.

I would suspect your clutch plate or transmission input shaft has failed. I think you need to split the tractor open at the bell housing / clutch plate. You will need to support the front and rear sections as you will have 2 tractor sections . What is broken you will only learn when you split the tractor. Been there done it.

Did you check the high /low shifter to be sure it hasn't jump into Neutral position?
But this wouldn't make the sound you described from the bell-housing

Make sure the clutch is adjusted to engage and that you just didnt burn up the last bit of clutch you had, untill you readjust it. Just a thought to check that.

Been 2 days i guess the bad news really effected him and he dont want to come back?
