I am considering a flail mower for my JD2520 and I have been looking at Everything Attachments Phoenix SLE line. Does anybody have experience with this flail mower?

The second question, what size should I get, I have 20.5 at the PTO, and I would like to get the 55" mower since it would be wider than my tractor, but the 47" can is spec'ed for 20HP at the bottom end of the power spectrum whereas the 55 is spec'ed for 25HP. Will I be OK with the 55 inch?

I would stay with the 48 unless you are sure you are not going to let the grass get ahead of you during cutting season. Today,We sell the 48" for $2725 and the 56" for $2975 including delivery to your state. Ken Sweet

Here is what I am planning to do with the mower. I am hoping to clean up and maintain some scrubby areas in my 6 acres of woods which consist of small branches, multiflora rose and mile-a-minute. Speed is not critical, I can go slow in the tough areas and make multiple passes. Once the initial cleanup is done, I will use it several times a year to maintain the area. I have meadow where thing grow fast but that is small and in the woods things grow slowly.

Either one would probably be ok then. Ken Sweet

Old thread, I know. Did you get it? How do you like it? One of the things that jumps out at me is the 6" diameter roller. That's a bigger diameter than Land Pride's FM25 series, which is 5.5".
