Regardless I realize that I am at the stage of life now that all protection for my home and family is totally up to me. A life lesson learned. There is no immediate help to me in a situation gone bad. This is not the way I was raised. It is an adjustment that I have been forced to take.

Well, to me that is just an excuse for their 'do-nothing attitude".
Insurance fraud is a crime, too. So if they expect that a reported burglary s insurance fraud they should be investigating it as such. That should be the first thing to rule out anyway in the investigation.
I have always been of the mindset that protection of assets and family is up to the guy I see in the mirror while shaving, anyone that thinks different is kidding themselves and putting the life of their family in unnecessary danger.
