L3240 w/ LA724 loader price check

Been wanting a new tractor for a while now and have decided on the Kubota L3240 with LA724 loader. Got a couple of quotes over the phone and just want to see if in your opinion the price seems in line for this package.

L3240 with 4WD and FST transmission
R4 tires
LA724 loader with quick attach
72" bucket
$21,500. plus tax

I just bought an '08 L3240 HST plus with the 514 loader and 270 hours for 16.5k. Not sure that helps you much however. Really like these tractors.

That price seems in line with what I was recently quoted for a 3240.

I began my research for a 3240 (cab model) about a year ago and as I began to talk to dealers I was told that the 3240 (HSTC) wasn't being sold by too many dealers because the hp rating right on the boarder (for certain attachments). This was due to the extra hp required for the Air Conditioning and extra weight of the cab.

When I began to do more research I realized the PTO hp rating was somewhat less than the engine hp rating. I eventually settled on a 3940 HTSC mainly because I wanted at least 30hp at the PTO.

My recommendation is check the hp ratings of the attachments you plan to use and make sure the 3240 PTO hp is enough to power the accessories you plan to use.

Thanks. I ended up buying the L3240 about 3 weeks ago. Got it about $600. less than what I quoted here. The 3940 was very tempting.

I picked up a 08 L3240 hstc with extra rear remotes and the 724 loader plus a set of fairly new chains for 25k . First tractor and the last if you ask my wife!!
There has been times I wish I had more power , but don't we all ? Congrats on your tractor!! your going to love it.
