cx loader on 2305.
Put my loader away about 3 weeks ago. Everything seemed fine, the loader was on the stand as it should be. 2 weeks ago I was in the shed where the loader was stored and it was still up on the stand.
18Nov11 I found the loader had collasped on to the floor. The stand was flat on the floor and the mounting arms were on the floor. The hyd cylinders were still extended and there was no loss of oil.
Anyone out there had this happen and can tell me what has gone wrong?
Thanks
Chris

If your sure their is no leaks than I would think one of your lift cylinders is leaking internally from one side to the other.

I never had mine collapse, but there is one time where I park it on the stand and lift it just enough to remove the tractor and when I came back to hook it up a few days later it had came down about 6'', so now I make sure to lift it up higher on the stand. It also put less stress on it. My thought was that there might of been a small amount of air in the cylinders which compress while sitting on the stand.

Are you sure someone did not lift up on the loader arms and swing the stand so it would lay flat? I know I lift up on the loader arms on my FEL to move it around but I am not sure if the stand can swing around far enough to lay flat.

You are almost all right. The lift cylinders lost fluid internally and this caused the arms to settle to the ground.
Dealer advised to make 2 U Channel blocks to put over the cylinder shafts to keep the lift cylinders from settling down.
Thanks for all your help.
Chris:)

A loader resting on the parking stand is only supporting its own weight. This is not a lot of weight when the parking stand is positioned effectively. My 200cx stayed parked this way indoors all last winter (~5 months). This winter they have been off for a few weeks now resting on the stand. No problems.

My loader is stored around other stuff and sometimes I need to get at the stuff. I find it is easier to manually move it when it is resting on the parking stand. I have the bucket on a 4 wheel dolly. I can get under the loader arms and lift it up enough to wheel it about. Yes, I'm a bigger then average man. :D

I'm smaller than the average man and I can do it without the wheels, that makes me stronger than the average man.:D Actually it does move along fairly easy. Never had an issue with my loader either and it's also off all Winter. Go figure!

I had that problem, dont know if it was related to yours but, the hydraulic coupler ends had a very small leak and had to be replaces, after that no problem
