Steve is only about 80 miles from where I live and my son bought his L5040 from him. He is a good dealer. I bought mine from Masters Equipment in Waddy, KY. This is only about 10 miles from where I live. They are also an excellent family dealership and this was my second Kubota from them.

KYDan thanks for sharing the info about Master Equipment!

Well its not that complicated. Sweden and US has agreement in someway so importing from US is more or less easy as buying from Europe. Well Kubota is represented here in Sweden, but the Kubotas sold in Sweden must be made out of gold...
And its little more challenging buying on the other side of the globe;)

Just curious ... how much does it cost to import a tractor to you?

Now my plans for my M7040 will be welding a custom ballastbox! I went out doing some work with the grapple and I used the ballastbox from my BX filled with frontweights from the M7040 and the bx, worked ok for that light weight work.
Im going to build steelplates under the tractor protecting underside. This because I going to do forest work with a trailer equiped with hydralic crane for bringing the logs out of forest. Thats why I didnt went for a nice glascab....

When buying used farm equipment there is no toll, and buying new farm equipment I think its 5% toll on the purchased things. Of course shipping costs and habour costs which tend to cost diffrent all the time....;)
You need to pay 25% tax at the border, refoundable in some cases.

These things are next to impossible to get truly stuck, we have had our M8540 HDC bottomed out in pond mud and gotten out using the FEL.

But of course its not a new tractor...160 hours on it.

Not new at 160 hours? Sounds pretty new to me! :)

If the expected lifespan is 10,000 hours, it's 98.4% new. As far as I'm concerned, that is new :)
