Tire Prices!! Geeze

I got 16k on a set of Falkens that I just replaced on my Dodge 3500

My friend has Falkens with just over 10k on his 1/2 ton Chevy, he is already shopping for new tires, as his are about done too.

The Falken Landair are the only Falken tires I have experience with, but I can assure you they are the worst tire I have ever seen, treadlife wise.

Good to know. I am looking at the Falken MT tires.

I have had 2 sets of Falken Tires on both of my Saturns and really had good service out of them.

Here is what I was looking at: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO + $110 to ship them + install once I get them.

I did make one mistake though. I thought the 'burb had 285/75R20s on it. It "only" has 275/55R20s. That takes them down to $220 or so. or is it:thumbsup: because they aren't $450.

Best I found for the Hummer size (online) LT 315/70r17 is in the $270 range BFG AT KO, then add shipping and M&B


If I still had out Vette with run-flats, I think I would do like many vette owners and swap them out. When I was thinking about it, it was like a 30% difference in cost.

I have a customer that has cranes . He left one on my parking lot the other night , has 10 large single Michelin tires on it . He had just put 4 new tires on it at $ 3500 each , wow . I told another customer about it and he has a Steiger with 8 tires on it , getting ready to buy 8 tires before end of the year , he said he wished he could get by that cheap . Everything in my inventory , that is rubber or nylon has taken a pretty good price increase .

I have a GM P-30 chassis motorhome, still has OEM Michelins with excellent tread and sidewalls still look like new...yet the MH is a 1993 vintage...which means that if I am taking any long trips I should replace all 7 tires...at close to $350 each. What a farce, for what tires cost there is no reason they cannot build them so they are safe to use until the tread is worn out.

Hankook Dyna Pros MT RT03's came factory on my 08 Titan. 285/70/17's. I tow all the time with it and have 48,000 miles on it as of this week. It still has a good 10,000 miles left in the tires. They get rotated every 7,500 miles.

Best tire I have ever had.

I just put Cooper at3's on my F-350. 285-70-18's. I know the owner of a repair shop and he takes care of me. I paid 1050 for them balanced and mounted and tax.... Great tire. I had Continintals on it prior and it would get stuck in a rain storm...

Put knock-off Coopers with an agressive tread on my Mom's Trailblazer yesterday...$625 for 4..Geez. When I bought similar size/type tires a couple of years ago was was around $400..The tire guy said there has been a 60% increase in price over the last few years...He ain't happy either.
