I have a 425. There's a blade listed locally for a 420 and another one for a model 318...

Any idea how compatible the blades themselves are?

What about the angle kit?

The reason I ask about the blades and angle kit separate from the whole quick hitch assembly is because both sellers also list snowblowers for sale, so I figure they might part with the blade and angle kit separately - and keep the quick hitch for the buyer that gets the tractor and blower.

Thanks.

Usually the blades for the 420 and 318 are older and don't use the quick hitch(?) They usually use a model specific hitch. When you go to look at them, the model for the 318 should have only hydraulic lift, not angle too. The 318 only had 1 set of front hydraulic quick connects. If you could find one with out the quick hitch, all the blades are the same and you would need the quick hitch for a 425. I believe all the hitches for the 420 and 318 are the same width. That said I am not sure if the 425 is compatible.

The 425 has a quick hitch system, that takes the blade, blower, and broom. The frames are different from the older tractors.
Some serious modifications would be needed. Just not a direct fit.

First off, 318 have 2 sets of hydraulis out the front of the mower, so you could have angle and up and down hydraulic. Only the very late 318 plow were available with the quick hitch style plow. Also no a standard 318 will not fit a 425.

The angle kit would be bolted to the hitch so unless you got the blade and mount the angle lot would be useless
