Which Jeans do you use?

. . . 200 pounds and a 32" waist.... I haven't see those numbers since junior high!!

There is a special bond between a father and his daughter. Enjoy your time with your daughters! They grow up WAY to fast!

I was thinking the same thing.
For me, a 36" felt so good that I buy the 38". :D

I second that remark about the daughters. (goes for the sons too) My "little girl" is in college now. Doesn't seem right. Goes way too fast.

Which Jeans do you use?

The ones that come out of the drawer in the dark, doesn't everyone?:D

David, I'm embarrassed for you! I know you've seen women from behind before, and yet you ask if men's and women's jeans are the same! Even if they wore the same pair, they definitely ain't the same!

It looks like they sell Crack to guys like me :D

Bass Pro is quite a store -- I am pretty sure my mouth hangs open the whole time I am walking around in there.

If someone took me to a Bass Pro when I was a kid, I think my head would have popped off.

I'm with the costco guys at $12 bucks a pair where I am I have 4 pair now for at least as long. they are a little looser and the fashinista police will put you on who looks bad in jeans list but they are durable, and comfortable. When I know I'll be pulling blackberries, it's carharts and that is my second set of clothes.

I would wear all those carhartt work pants, except the legs are a little baggy. only a few styles of there jeans have the right amount off opening at the bottom for me.

I like everything carhartt, sometimes I look like a walking advertisement for them, with coat, pants, sweatshirt, hat even belt!
Lately I have to catch myself from that full ensemble, I'm afraid they will feature me on one of those make over shows

I've been a lifelong Levi's guy, but they abandoned me when the stopped making jeans that fit (560's) and got all "fashionista".

I've recently started wearing Wrangler's and they seem to hold up well. Sliding down the asphalt at ~20mph I only got 2 holes in a brand new pair a month ago.

But it gets more complex. I have daughters. They REALLY want to work on many of these projects with me (and that is a blessing and I want to work with them also).

But girls jeans are a JOKE! they are sparkly spandex and would not last a single day in the field!

Even I am discovering that my jeans are taking a beating now that I am REALLY working them. they are getting cut, greasy, and often I look like Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs.

So I have really two questions.

#1 - Who makes REAL WORK jeans that will hold up to this?

and

#2 - Who makes real Jeans for GIRLS! (as an aside, can anyone tell me if boys size 14 is the same as girls size 14?)

The high for this weekend is going to be 45. the ground is wet, wet, wet. My daughters are chomping at the bit to get working on the horse fence. They need appropriate clothing for WORKING.

Thanks in advance,
David

I like Wranglers mostly for everything but I have some carhartts I like too. Both hold up well.

Wrangler makes women's jeans too. They are well made.

I used to get the Makers Mark jeans from Sam's. About a month ago I went in and purchased a couple pair of jeans. I bought the usual size I wear and took them home and laundered them to soften them up a bit. When I tried them on they were high water pants and the left leg was shorter than the right, this was on both pair.

It seems that Makers Mark is now made in China by Chinese with a short left leg. The new pants were donated to Goodwill. I will go back to wearing Dickies, as at least you get what you pay for.

That's the same kind of thing I noticed in Costco a few days ago, their jeans (when they were made in Canada) were pretty good quality. The ones they have now (Chinese) are visibly shoddy. For me, paying $30 at Mark's Work Wearhouse and getting good quality clothes made in Canada beats the $15 price tag at Costco by a country mile. My country mile, in fact.
