I'm going to have to brag on the Cobb grill once again ( Cobb America : The Tabletop Cobb Premier Portable Charoal Grill and Cooking System )

Picked up my 3rd one (not the Premier model like my previous 2), but it was brand new and only $20 from Salvation Army store (I was calling on customers and happened to pretty much trip over it on the floor)

Takes 8 pieces of charcoal
I use cherry wood for smoke
it also has a "moat" that I like to pour light beer in while cooking so it steams as well as smokes.

Comes out juicy and with great flavor.

My wife has got a list of recipe's for cooking crock-pot meals, here is one in particular done with pork Loin, simply add this McCormick ingredients set on slow and walk away for 8 hours, Makes for some good BBQ sandwiches,:licking: it has the smoke flavor and all, she suggest to me that this is the way from now on we are preparing BBQ, although I must still Do the Ribs the traditionally way On the smoker grill, as she hasn't found a way to stuff 10-20 lbs of ribs in a Crock Pot:D

I slice it, tenderize it and fry it as a schnitzel. Excellent! The schnitzel should be made from veal, but I prefer pork loin for it.

The trick is to slice it thin, say half an inch, hammer it even thinner, salt, bread it - flour, egg, bread crums and fry in hot oil.

Serve with pickle and mashed potatoes.

Try it, you will love it.

My wife's version is exactly the same.......but the Italians call it Picata, and I too like the pork better at 1/10th the price.

Haven't ever gone quite that far with it, but I've sliced it about a half inch and my wife has used salt, pepper, egg, and flour and fried just as boneless pork chops.

Every time the grocery store has pork loins for $1.99 a pound I buy a couple and slice them into chop sized pieces and usually a roast size or two. We usually get 20 or so chops and a roast out of each loin. Very good. :thumbsup:
