My engine drain plugs are a LOT bigger than 12mm! I am guessing at around 21mm. Actually, I think they are bigger than that! The biggest metric socket I have is 19mm and it is nowhere big enough - I use a metric adjustable wrench...:laughing:

I think 12 mm is about right, maybe 14. I think my set was 3 different sizes and the hex is about 1/2". The plug is much bigger but it is round and only sticks out about 3/16" on the 7010 and only way to get it out is with a hex key. I had to use a breaker bar to get it loose. There is also 2 plugs to remove, one on each side of the drive shaft that runs thru the middle of the oil pan

I am finally getting ready to do the 50 hr. maintenance on my S3010 and did a tool inventory just today. Checked to make sure I had the right socket, but didn't note the size. My service manual says they are 22mm.
The transmission/hydraulic plugs are even bigger -- 27mm. Coincidentally, that is the same size as the crank pulley nut (when you adjust the valves.)
